Rivets are round metal rods that are bulged by passing through the holes drilled in them and hitting both ends with a hammer in order to connect two or more plates to each other in a way that they cannot be removed. Rivets are manufactured in different sizes from many types of raw materials. Among them are aluminum rivet types.
Rivet types include pop rivets, sealed rivets, rivets with nuts, forged rivets and heavy duty rivets.
Pop Rivets;
Pop rivets, which are among the types of aluminum rivets, consist of two parts as head and nail. Manual and air rivet machines are used in the application of these elements used to join two or more parts. The length of the rivet shank varies according to the desired strength, tensile and breaking movements and the total weight of the parts to be joined.
The pop rivet is passed through the hole drilled for the parts and tightened by the machine. The jammed rivet parts are brought together and the nail part breaks off after compression. This type of rivet is also available in different types, such as bump head, countersunk head and wide head.
Spider Rivets
The head of the spider rivet is made of aluminum material. After the application of this rivet, the head of the rivet is divided into four parts.
Rivets with Nut
Another type of aluminum rivet is the rivet with nut. This product is used to join materials that can be reached from one side and are too thin to use bolts.  The rivet with nut is applied to one of the parts to be joined manually or with a pneumatic machine.
Bulbfix Rivet
Bulbfix aluminum rivets are used for joining soft, thin and brittle materials. It is a very suitable material for metal, wood and plastic surfaces. This type of rivet is very reliable as it creates a vibration-resistant connection. In addition, the head of the rivet shrinks into three pieces after application.
Today, these rivet types are used in many sectors such as automotive, lighting, electrical-electronics and heating-cooling. They are quickly tightened and fixed with the help of a rivet gun. These machines reduce costs for the users and provide great advantages in terms of speed and time.
